Football Shirt Friday

Football Shirt Friday Blog Header

Today our team are taking part in Football Shirt Friday in aid of the Bobby Moore Fund for the research of Bowel Cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund was set up by Stephanie Moore MBE, Bobby's Widow. The great Bobby Moore was just 51 years old when he died. Since the fund was set up in 1993 mortality rates have fallen by more than 30% and over £23.5 million has been raised however this is just the start of the battle.

A range of shirts are on show in the office today with our Ladderstore starting 11 consisting of 5 Bolton Shirts, if the Wanderers don't buck their ideas up and beat the drop, you may soon see some of the Ladderstore team facing the likes of Blackpool away at Bloomfield Road, Filipe Morais, watch this space. We also have a professional in our centre midfield, A.Marsh wearing the actual shirt of Pim Van Dord, a talented defender who is currently the physiotherapist at Ajax.

We have a strong team not only on paper but on the pitch. Our Managing Director and number 1 Gail Hounslea is between the sticks, nothing gets past her and she has total control of the dressing room. Repping the almighty Kapiti Coast United is our Operations Manager and Captain Gareth Monger, he's the one to watch. Keeping everyone in order and he'll run all day for you. Imagine a cross between Mo Farah and Alan Shearer, that's our captain. (Being a Sunderland fan he won't like that comparison, but it's all for a good cause)

If you'd like to show your support it's not too late, you can text FRIDAY to 70200, visit our Just Giving Page or check out the Bobby Moore Fund website to keep up with more ideas for fundraising.
