Gail & Gareth Help Pack 50,000 Meals To Fight Hunger

On Saturday, April 14th Our MD Gail Hounslea and Operations Manager Gareth Monger went down to Sharples school in Bolton, hairnets in hand, to support Bolton Lever Rotary with their meal pack event in conjunction with Rise against Hunger and The Trussell Trust.

Gail and Gareth had a great time helping out to pack 50,000 meals which would be sent across the world to fight global hunger. As well as the meal packs they also collected dried food and tins which were distributed locally. As part of our values, our team are passionate about working with and supporting the wider community and it was a pleasure to be of assistance.

Director Gareth Monger Packing Meals

Our Operations Manager Gareth had this to say about the event: "Supporting the meal pack for Rise against Hunger and the Trussell Trust was an eye-opening experience. It was great that volunteers from local groups, companies and other rotary groups in the vicinity came together for a common cause and worked together to help fill 50,000 meal packs in one day. If everyone can do their own little bit to support causes they care about it will make a big change in the way the world operates"

Rise against hunger and Trussell Trust aim to end world hunger by 2030, to find out more about their amazing work please visit their website.
