Image Information
Ladderstore’s on-site ladder inspection service is available to all working at height access equipment located on your premises, including general step & extension ladders, work platforms and fixed machinery steps.
Complete our online form located on this page and we'll get back to you with suitable times, dates and costs. On Inspection day a certified ladder inspector will come to your site with paperwork and our ladder log inspection system in hand and carry out inspections on all your equipment.
We will make recommendations should any equipment be unsafe and you can then get this replaced from us or elsewhere. Our main goal is to keep you safe when working at height.
We currently provide ladder inspections for many companies including bank note printer manufacturer De La Rue and professional South-East cleaners Hall’s Cleaning to name a few.
How Often should ladders be inspected?
Ladders, either portable or fixed need to be inspected regularly to ensure they are in safe condition. It is recommended that each time any ladder is used it should undergo pre-checks to check for damages and obvious issues that will affect the performance and safety of the ladder. More detailed inspections should be carried out every 3 to 6 months and must be done so by a competent person. Competency is difficult to prove, and should you want someone internally to inspect your ladders it's recommended they carry out Inspection Training.
What Happens Should My Ladders Fail An Inspection?
Should your ladders have damages and defects and are labelled as unsafe by our ladder inspector we will provide you the paperwork to inform you why this decision has been made, the ladder will also be attached with a do not use label. Depending on the fault you can either source replacement parts or have to replace the ladder. We can provide the replacements for you or you can source this as you wish.
