When Lee Wall the Contracts Manager for Historic Property Restoration Ltd was looking for a permanent roof access ladder for use on the roof of Aydon Castle near Corbridge in Northumberland he was given details of Ladderstore by a colleague at English Heritage who had worked closely with Ladderstore previously on an access solution for another Historic Building.
Historic Property Restoration Ltd is a preferred contractor for English Heritage and work with them on the conservation and repair of Ancient Monuments.
Jacky Hopps from Ladderstore worked with Lee and Ladderstore technicians to come up with a suitable solution for permanent access to the roof. Working from a rough drawing provided by Historic Property Restoration Ltd a detailed technical specification was prepared and agreed with Lee and his team before the roof access ladder was produced.
The finished product has now been permanently fitted to the roof at Aydon Castle and as it has been manufactured in fibreglass will be there for many years.
