Mr Mitchell wanted a ladder solution that wouldn't block the lower games room when not in use, so the Rolling Library Ladder was ideal as it could slide back to the side of the room when not in use.
The key to the Rolling Library Ladder's versatility is the innovative, precision-engineered and anodised, alloy track and captive trolley system. The ladder is attached to the trolley chassis and can then smoothly run up and down the length of the track and positioned by simply lifting and pushing the ladder to the required point. The trolley chassis runs on industrial nylon bearings for a smoother operation that is maintenance free once installed.
Mr Mitchell decided to go for the straight-grained oak finish (the ladder is also available in soft Redwood, Maple and other timbers priced on application) which was then treated with Danish oil.

We manufacture our rolling ladders in the UK and they are tailored to your exact measurements with delivery usually around 4 weeks from approval of drawings. They are delivered pre-assembled and ready for DIY installation. The trolley chassis is pre-assembled and fitted onto a section of track ready to be mounted. The track comes in 1-metre sections and can be mounted seamlessly. The ladders are delivered completely in one section. Delivery can be arranged anywhere in the UK and there is also a paid installation option available where one of our fitters will deliver and install the rolling ladder on site.
