At Ladderstore we are firm believers in giving back to the community. Below you will find events in which our team have taken part in and a list of great charities who we love to support.

Bolton Lads & Girls Club Patrons

As part of our values, our local community means the world to us. We are official patrons of the Bolton Lads And Girls Club who make a huge impact in the local community. The club uses the donations towards sports facilities, mentoring sessions, art classes and making the childhood for young people much brighter.

The club is a strong believer in getting the community in work. As well as being patrons of the club we also take part in a wide range of their events including the Big Shop and the Beer Festival.

Ladder Association

Our Managing Director is also the Vice-Chair Person of the Ladder Association. This means she and our team are always the first in the loop when it comes to updated ladder classifications and regulations when working at height. This ensures we can provide the safest products and pass on the information to our customers, also keeping them safe.

Working Well Together Group

We are part of the Working Well Together Group to help our customers learn and follow health and safety rules to help keep them safe. Each year thousands of construction workers are injured and killed at work and together we can continue to reduce this statistic.

Ladderstore Supports Circus Starr

Every year we make a contribution to a Circus Starr, a fantastic charity which allows vulnerable and disabled children to experience a trip to have a magical time at the circus. Our donation helps children escape for the day, if only for a moment by wowing their senses and giving back the magic of childhood.

Football Shirt Friday

On the 27th April 2018 our team took part in Football Shirt Friday, they wore their team colours to work and made a donation to the Bobby Moore Fund. This charity focuses on researching and finding treatments to cure Bowel Cancer, which sadly Bobby Moore died from. Overall our team raised over £150 towards the fund.

In 14th April 2018, our Managing Director Gail Hounslea and Operations Manager Gareth Monger went to support the Bolton Lever Rotary at the Sharples School in Bolton. Gareth and Gail packed meals which would then be given to low-income families in around the world enabling children to get into school. The pair also collected dry food and tins which were then distributed locally. They did this amazing event in order to support Rise Against Hunger and The Trussell Trust.

Gareth's Marathon for Prostate Cancer

On 8th April 2018, we supported our Operations Manager, Gareth Monger, who is passionate about standing up to Prostate Cancer UK and supporting them in the best way he can.

Gareth took on the huge challenge of running the Manchester Marathon which is a distance of 26.2miles. Congratulations to Gareth who completed the Marathon and raised a whopping £,2,465.01 and completed the marathon in an impressive 3 hours and 23 Minutes

Gareth donated this tremendous amount of money to Prostate Cancer UK in hope to find treatment to cure this terrible disease.

Fundraising for Martin Hibbert

After the awful events that occurred on the night of 22nd May 2017.  Our team held a family and friends barbecue to raise funds for Martin Hibbert and his daughter who sustained life-changing injuries in the Manchester Arena Attack. As a team, we didn't only have a great time chatting to family, friends and residents in the local community but we managed to raise £470 to help towards the long term recovery of Martin and his daughter.

Sponsor a poppy campaign for Armistice Day

In October 2016 we joined with the community of Bromley Cross and Astley Bridge to commemorate the great British servicemen and women who were killed or injured during the world wars that took place. The community together displayed huge poppies on lampposts around the area. As a community over a 100 poppies appeared on lamp posts on Darwen Road.

Other Charitable work

The above is just a select few of the work we do with the local and wider community. We also donate monthly to Charity Water a non-profit organisation that aims for all families in developing countries to have access to clean and safe drinking water.  We also support Blessing in Disguise a charity based in Wigan who raises funds to provide a range of special needs equipment to enhance the lives of terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children and young people.

Our Managing Director Gail Hounslea is the Chair Person and a Trustee of Eagley Junior School.
