Fixed Vertical Access Ladders

Fixed vertical access ladders are single section, straight ladders that are made from aluminium or fibreglass. Hence the name fixed vertical ladders, they are usually fixed onto a wall and are used for safe roof access, often seen on apartment buildings and mills. Fixed ladders are the ideal solution for accessing the roofline of taller buildings and can be bought with or without hoops depending on the height of the wall ladder required.

Fixed vertical ladders require fall protection in the form of hoops when the ladder is 3 meters or above. Should you not have the space for hoops we can supply fixed vertical ladders without a cage as long as a full risk assessment has been completed. Personal fall protection should also be considered when working at this height. It is also worth noting if your fixed vertical ladder is greater than 9m a rest platform is required.

Whilst we may not technically be part of the European Union, we do still adopt and adhere to many European regulations. The standards for Fixed Vertical Ladders is EN 14122-4. This regulation ensures fixed ladders are safe, durable and fit for purpose.
