Chase Manufacturing was set up in 1987, by Charles Thomas and remained in the family as a privately owned company. Charles originally started his career in the aluminium access equipment industry in 1953 whilst working for Gravity Ladders in Pickford St, Birmingham. He then worked for Lyte ladders in Douth, Wales for a number of years before deciding to set up his company we now know as Chase Ladders which was founded in a factory in Newport.

Currently, the managing director of Chase Ladders is Charles' son. He joined the company in 2000 and is also a qualified mechanical engineer. Chase Ladders work to the highest standards and adhere to a formal quality management system registered to BS EN ISO 9001:2015. They have developed an excellent product range over time and generally concentrate on the industrial sector of the market.
