Powered Access & Scissor Lifts

Powered access, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, whatever you call them they are a perfect solution to working at heights and getting secure access quickly. This range of equipment allows a user to be enclosed in a safe platform and access heights without having to erect a scaffold tower. As both hands are also free when using a scissor lift they are ideal for the more tricky jobs when a number of tools are required to complete the job in hand.

In which situation so I need a scissor lift?

Scissor lifts allow users to reach heights much quicker and easier than having to erect scaffolding or use ladders. If working at height for longer durations a scissor lift is an ideal piece of equipment to use, with a simple push of a button or control stick the lift can be moved to the correct height and work can start immediately. Offering a guarded platform powered access can be much safer than other equipment.

Should I hire a scissor lift?

The hire vs buy debate is always an interesting one and it always comes down to how often you need a scissor lift. For example, if we look at the Pop Up IQ, the hire price for one week can reach upto £250. This means over the space of a month you’re looking at a cost of £1,000 with nothing to show for it. Although these products are a high price point if you are using a scissor lift often it would be worth considering purchasing one, if you need one temporarily hiring is the perfect choice.
