We have been participating in the biggest coffee morning in the world here at Ladderstore!
It has been a lovely morning with a great buzz in the office! We have had lots of lovely homemade treats to try and enjoy including:
Banoffee Pie - Richard, our customer services manager pulled out all the stops with a classic banoffee pie, not usually our first choice for breakfast but wow, what a creation.
Scones with jam and cream - Victoria in the past has impressed the team with her baking skills, she aced a lemon drizzle cake recently so expectations were high and it’s safe to say expectations were met.
Lemon drizzle -Meg brought in a lemon drizzle conveniently pakaged in a box (definatly homemade.)
Scotch Eggs - Inspired by the Hairy Bikers Dave has made Scotch eggs coated in cheese and onion crisps. Some may be odd shapes but it’s the taste that counts.
We’ve had great fun raising money for Macmillan cancer support participating in games such as ‘place the cherry on the gateau' and judging our delicious treats in a bake-off style competition.
Our lovely customer service advisor Vikki ended up coming out on top with her fun size scones, and if I do say so myself they are delicious!
Macmillan is there right from the moment someone is diagnosed, through treatment and beyond, they are a source of support, giving the energy and inspiration to help people feel more like themselves.
