5 Minutes with the newest member of our Customer Service Team.
Last month we celebrated the appointment of our 10th apprentice since we began trading in 2004. In 2015 we were honoured to be awarded the Skills for Business Award- Retail category, in the same year we were also named nationally as one of the Top 100 Apprentice Employers in 2015.
Megan Oliver is the latest apprentice to join our experienced team in the customer service department. Now Megan has had a little bit of time to settle into her new role with us we wanted to find out how she was getting on.
What appealed to you about the position at Ladderstore?
I felt that I would benefit from an environment where I could be more hands on than I was in the classroom. My Dad did an apprenticeship in the mechanic/auto body trade so this inspired me to do a similar thing. This position appealed to me because I wanted to develop my experience in customer service. I enjoy dealing with queries and doing my bit to ensure that customers have a positive experience.
What have you learnt from your short time at Ladderstore?
Ladderstore pride themselves on their excellent customer service. Already I can see that this experience is going to give me a number of transferrable skills which will give me a great start to my career. The company offers me an exceptional opportunity to progress. Furthermore I am enjoying working with a helpful, welcoming team and assisting in the ever growing business and custom.
What do you hope to achieve by the end of your apprenticeship?
By the end of my apprenticeship, I hope to be a confident, experienced customer service provider with more knowledge about online businesses. Ladderstore are proud that the majority of their past apprentices have gone on to hold permanent roles within the company and so it would be great for me to do the same.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
In 5 years I would like to be assisting a large scale business. I would like to continue customer serviced based work.
