Customer Service Week - Jacky- Reward and Recognition

Throughout this week, we have been celebrating National Customer Service Week covering a range of themes from ‘Unlocking Potential’ to ‘The Voice of the Customer’. We have heard from various members of our team here at Ladderstore providing an insight into how various roles, attitudes and approaches shape the way we do business. Today the theme is ‘Recognition’ and so it was only fitting that we take this opportunity to focus the spotlight on our Business Development Manager, Jacky Hopps.

 

Jacky joined Ladderstore 10 years ago and over the years had become an integral part of the company. Our Managing Director, Gail Hounslea says “Jacky has been a key member of the team for 10 years and is always full of enthusiasm whilst putting the customer at the heart of everything she does. Jacky makes a significant difference to our business and is loved by customers and suppliers alike. I always know that if Jacky has a task to do she will just make it happen and she always goes over and above - she just wants to get it right.  She also brings a lot of fun to the office and any social occasion that we have making them enjoyable for all.”

 

A huge part of Jacky’s role centre around working very closely with our customers and suppliers on a daily basis. This is a crucial part of our business. Ryan Harper, Business Development Manager, at Zarges was keen to tell us “Jacky is a pleasure to deal with and is always smiling. She has an intricate knowledge of all the products she deals with, and this is due to the hard work and dedication she puts into her role. I am sure she has some ‘light bedtime reading’ from manufacturers catalogues! In all seriousness, Jacky is a fantastic person and an asset to any sales team.”

 

Over the last 10 years Jacky had built up some fantastic relationships with those who we work with, that teamed with her wealth of knowledge makes her an invaluable member of the company and the feedback we have from our customers and suppliers about her is testament to that.  Adam Brace at T&I Solutions told us “Having dealt with Jacky for a period of around 8 years for 2 different companies, it is a constant source of amazement that however trying a customer or unreasonable a request, Jacky faces everything with unfailing good grace and humour. Jacky has been an integral part in growing what was a side product, in our rolling ladder system, and turning it into one of our most profitable lines, we could not have achieved this without her. When we have introduced new products and training she has always taken any advice or new ideas on board and worked incredibly hard to ensure every product and customer relationships is as great a success as it can be. Jacky has been both a personal and professional pleasure to deal with and her product knowledge, combined with great customer relationships provide a partnership which we both value and cherish.”
