Ladderstore is a trading name of Wardworth Ltd and we are specialists in all things to do with Working at Height safely. Our experienced team will help you choose the best solution to your access query and if we cannot find a standard product we work closely with all the leading UK manufacturers to design and manufacture a bespoke solution for you.

Ladderstore was started in Bolton in 2004 by Gail Hounslea (who is now the Managing Director). We are independent specialists in all things working at height and work alongside all the UK and European manufacturers. Safety is our thing and we are Ladder Association accredited trainers – Gill Robinson our Operations Director sits on the Ladder Association Training Committee. We have developed a Ladder Log Asset Management System that is simple to use and widely used by companies of all sizes (including Housing Associations, NHS, large building companies and many high street retailers).

Our Products & Services

We have worked hard in order to offer our customers bespoke solutions and have assisted many large companies to come up with a made to order product to suit very varied applications. Ladderstore is one of the main providers in the UK of rolling/library ladders and have worked with many prestigious companies to manufacture and design these custom made stylish solutions for bars, large retail shops and homes around the UK.

Ladderstore is also able to design all sorts of custom built Working at Height products from ‘back of the fag packet’ drawings to highly technical architects drawings and in most instances provide a technical drawing and specification for our customer where required.

Ladderstore works alongside the HSE in its annual Ladder Exchange (we have exchanged over 500 dodgy ladders in the last couple of years). We are also part of the Haydock Working Well Together Group. This helps smaller construction companies learn about health and safety issues from the HSE, larger construction companies and other partners.

Gill Robinson our Operations Director sits on the Training Committee of the UK Ladder Association and is an expert in the Working at Height field. She is able to give advice on the technical side of Working at Height and oversees our Training Courses that are run on a regular basis. We also have an experienced trained team that can carry out detailed Ladder Inspections throughout the North West.

Suppliers

Ladderstore is a Preferred Supplier of most of the UK’s Ladder Manufacturers and work closely with Youngman, Abru, Lyte, Bratts. MFB, Chase and all the other UK manufacturers. We are also a Preferred Supplier of the German companies Zarges and Hailo. If our customer needs a demonstration or visit we can normally sort out one of our experienced staff or our manufacturing partners Sales Team to make a visit where required.

The Team

Our team try to put the customer at the heart of all we do and we undergo frequent training to enable us to deliver industry leading innovation. Ladderstore has a technical team who are continually updating the website with new products, extra facts and better descriptions. Our friendly, enthusiastic and helpful customer service team works with existing and new customers to recommend the safest option for our customer’s job taking into account all the latest health and safety information.

We work in partnership with our suppliers trying to add value to them as well as our customers. We are currently undergoing ISO:9001 in order to make our Customer Journey as smooth as possible.
