16th September 2010 - Haydock Park Racecourse, Newton-Le-Willows WA12 0HQ
This is one of a series of free partnership events run by the industry for the industry, as part of the UK-wide Working Well Together (WWT) campaign. The aim is not only to raise awareness of key health and safety issues facing the construction industry specific to your trade, but also to give practical advice on how toavoid risks on construction sites.

With some 2 million ladders thought to be in daily use, they remain an invaluable piece of workplace equipment. However, the majority of users have never received any formal training in the way they should be positioned and used. That's why the association is now campaigning for professional training in all aspects of ladder use, including risk assessment and inspection.
…..emotive words from the HSE - and the name given to its latest campaign to reduce the number of slips, trips or fall accidents at work. Ladderstore heard about this new initiative and knew that it had to be involved. Yes, we are a company out to sell products, but we do so with a conscience and we make no bones about the fact that we want everyone to use the ladders, steps and access equipment we sell, safely.
At the risk of sounding unnecessarily alarming, we would not be taking our role as a conscientious access solutions provider seriously, if we did not bring to everyone’s notice important legislation as and when it came into being. So here goes - we start with a very important Act affecting all companies and organisations.
