A tailored version of our popular mobile warehouse step designed to allow comfortable and safe access to the load area of double decker trucks, lorries and trailers. The platform can be straightforwardly tailored to suit variable platform heights and site specific requirements.

Product Information

Safety while loading and unloading vehicles has been placed firmly in the HSE's spotlight this year and you can see why from the statistics. Falls from vehicles are the second most common vehicle-related accidents in the workplace accounting for 1600 injuries and 4 deaths last year. Access to the load area of lorries and trailers has always been problematic with drivers becoming worryingly adept at climbing up onto the lorry wheels or balancing on the tips of forklift forks.

Ladderstore sell a range of access ladders designed to allow easy access on and off a vehicle's load area that can be transported with the vehicle or kept in delivery depots and wheeled easily into place to load or unload a truck, lorry or trailer.

Designed specifically for double decker trailer access these mobile access platforms are based on our popular mobile warehouse steps range and have many of the same features. The platform has two 100mm rear wheels and two retractable front castors which are lifted from the floor using a braking retractor handle which allows the large steel feet to impact with the floor and give maximum stability for the operator.

The large top platform makes loading and unloading both comfortable and safe.

The platform can be straightforwardly tailored to suit variable platform heights and site specific requirements.

The steps are manufactured from ERW tube to BS6323 PARTS-ERW1-KM. The treads are manufactured from steel to BS1449 PART 1 1984 CR4.
