Timber ladders are an insulator and therefore do not conduct electricity when dry. Because of this fact, timber ladders are recommended where an electrical hazard exists. Timber is also the best natural insulator against heat or cold, of all the materials presently used for ladders.
The Timber Extension ladders are manufactured to BS1129 Class 1 standard from straight grained Douglas Fir and are kitemarked.
All metal parts are rust proof and stiles are reinforced on sizes as required. The rungs are tie barred at intervals for extra strength and durability (as standard on every rung on 18 rung models and above).
