This works very well, is strong and well made. It does add some weight to the top of the ladder, so extra care is needed putting the ladder up and especially putting it down again. You need a reasonably wide space of wall to rest it against and that has proved a problem with my house. Very steady once in use - you feel secure and can reach the fascias and gutters easily. I bought this because of a wide eaves overhang and I needed to work on the guttering. The stand off distance is greater than the usual aluminium ones you get at DIY stores. It's easy to fit to the ladder. It's very stable in position and you feel very secure. The tray is great for holding tools and bits of pieces so you have two hands for getting on with the job.
