Last night our managing director Gail Hounslea and business development manager Jacky Hopps visited the Emirates Old Trafford for the National Apprenticeship Awards 2015 where we were nominated for the ‘Small Business of The Year Award’. We were one of the two finalists in the category and although we didn’t win we are delighted to have been nominated and highly commended.

What are the National Apprenticeship Awards?

The National Apprenticeship Awards 2015 and recognise excellence in two areas; businesses that grow their own talent with apprenticeships and apprentices who have made a significant contribution to their workplaces. 

What Do The Judges Look For? 

In the process the judges look for:

1. Commitment: demonstrates that apprenticeships are fully integrated within the organisation with a clear future development programme
2. Contribution: showcases how their apprenticeships have enabled the business to grow and exceeded expectations for both the employer and the apprentices
3. Success: an exemplar representing outstanding levels of achievement as well as inspirational qualities

The Small Business of the Year Award is for companies with between 1 and 24 employees and we were selected from 1,200 applicants to be one of the two finalists in the category. We had a fantastic time and would like to congratulate our team and all those nominated.
