This little ladder is a very useful piece of equipment. we decided to decorate the stairs and needed something between a full 3.9mtr extending ladder and a step ladder. we bought the shortest one available and it fits the bill perfectly.
On the down side, the catches that lock the extending part of the ladder in place can be a little tricky to master, you need one hand to release the catch, one hand to extend the ladder, and a third hand to hold the top to prevent the whole thing falling over - it took two of us when extending the ladder on the stairs. Other that that the stabilising bar is good and the treads comfortable. (Posted on 17/02/2012)

  • I am interested in whether you can stand on the third or second from top rung when the ladder is set to the "A" position with the extension facing up or whether the ladder would feel unstable.
    
    
  • The highest permissible ascent by the end user for each of the four possible product modes is specified as follows:-
    
    
    
    Stepladder Mode - Do not climb / stand above rung 4 (leaving two rungs above).
    Stairwell Ladder Mode - Do not climb / stand above the fifth rung from the top (leaving four rungs above).
    Freestanding Extension Ladder Mode – Do not climb / stand above the fifth rung from the top (leaving four rungs above).
    Extension Ladder Mode – Do not climb / stand above the fourth rung from the top (leaving three rungs above).
